Description

  • Pavo Oats – High-Quality Energy for Performance

Oats have been a staple in equine nutrition for over 2,000 years, providing sport horses with exceptionally fast-release energy. Unlike the starch found in other grains such as wheat, barley, or corn, oat starch is naturally easy for horses to digest.

Pavo uses both white and black oats in its products. While oats can be fed untreated, Pavo goes a step further: our oats are not only cleaned but also dehulled (entspelzt). Research shows that oat hulls can irritate the horse's intestinal wall. By removing them, we increase the energy density (rising to 55–57 kg per 100 liters) and ensure the grain is even easier to digest.

The most important benefits at a glance:

    • Quick Energy – Provides sport horses with immediate, fast-release energy for peak performance.

    • Optimized Digestibility – Cleaned and dehulled to protect the intestinal wall and ensure efficient nutrient uptake.

    • Ready to Feed – Can be fed directly as a supplement or base component.

    • Customizable – The perfect choice for owners who prefer to balance their own individual feed rations.

    Feeding Recommendation:

    • We recommend feeding 1–2 kg per day.

    • To ensure optimal digestion, do not exceed 1 kg per meal.

    Areas of Application:

    • Horses that require extra energy for athletic work.

    • Horse owners who want to design their own specific feed rations.
